Paediatric Neurologist

The Paediatric Neurologist provides specialist assessment and management for children with neurological conditions. The role evaluates developmental and neurological symptoms, interprets clinical information, develops tailored care plans and works with families and multidisciplinary teams to support accurate diagnosis, treatment and continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess children presenting with neurological symptoms, developmental concerns, seizures or other disorders within the specialist scope.
• Review history, examination findings, investigations and prior treatment to support diagnosis and management.
• Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans and monitor clinical progress over time.
• Explain diagnoses, investigations, treatment options and warning signs to families in accessible language.
• Coordinate with pediatricians, rehabilitation professionals and other specialists for children requiring multidisciplinary care.
• Recognize urgent neurological changes and arrange escalation or additional assessment when needed.
• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records and communicate relevant care plans to the authorized team.
• Contribute to patient safety, service improvement and ongoing professional development.

Requirements and Skills

• Mandatory UK CCT or American Board certification with relevant subspecialty training and experience in Pediatric Neurology.
• Strong clinical reasoning and experience assessing neurological conditions in children.
• Excellent family communication, teamwork and documentation skills.
• Commitment to patient-centred, high-quality care and continuous learning.
• Required professional registration and Dubai clinical licensing must be maintained.
