Operations Manager, Fitness & Membership

The Operations Manager, Fitness & Membership will lead the operational and commercial performance of a luxury fitness and wellness environment. The role combines membership growth, guest experience, team leadership, budgeting and service excellence. The successful candidate will build a high-performing operation, strengthen member loyalty, maintain premium facilities and identify opportunities to expand revenue through fitness, personal training, recovery and wellness services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day fitness, movement, recovery and membership operations while maintaining exceptional standards for cleanliness, safety, presentation and equipment performance.
• Develop strategies for membership acquisition, conversion, retention and renewal and monitor performance against commercial targets.
• Oversee member onboarding, orientation, feedback, service recovery, events and exclusive programming designed to increase engagement and loyalty.
• Manage revenue, budgets, labour costs and operating expenses while identifying opportunities to improve profitability and secondary spend.
• Recruit, coach, develop and retain fitness and wellness colleagues through performance management, training and succession planning.
• Collaborate with spa, nutrition and hotel teams to deliver integrated wellbeing experiences and introduce relevant fitness and wellness innovations.

Requirements

• At least three years as a Fitness Manager, five years as an Assistant Spa Manager, or comparable leadership experience.
• Luxury hospitality, fitness, wellness or spa industry experience with strong commercial understanding.
• Excellent communication, organizational, conflict-resolution and service-recovery skills.
• Confident leadership style with the ability to engage high-profile guests and senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of current fitness, wellness and guest-experience trends.
