National Trainee – Operations

Emirates Global Aluminium’s National Trainee - Operations programme is designed for UAE Nationals, particularly high school leavers, to begin careers across operational and technical areas. The permanent, full-time programme is available at EGA’s Al Taweelah and Jebel Ali locations and covers fields including smelter operations, power, desalination, maintenance and technical work. Training combines classroom-based theory, workshop practice and on-the-job learning, with programme duration ranging from six months to three years depending on the pathway.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in structured training designed to build operational and technical knowledge for the assigned field.
• Complete classroom-based theoretical learning relevant to the selected operational area.
• Undertake practical workshop training to develop hands-on technical capability.
• Participate in on-the-job training within EGA operating areas.
• Develop the skills and knowledge required for future responsibilities in smelter, power, desalination, maintenance or technical functions.
• Follow programme requirements and participate in the learning activities provided throughout the training period.
• Apply communication, safety and operational learning within the assigned training environment.

Requirements

• UAE National.
• High School Certificate, preferably in science or technical subjects, or relevant work experience.
• Good communication skills in English.
• National Service completed, if applicable.
• Age between 19 and 32 years.
• Willingness to complete an intensive structured training programme lasting from 6 months to 3 years.

Training Structure
