Medical Claims Officer – Health Insurance / TPA

Job Overview

A UAE healthcare and medical insurance operation is recruiting Medical Claims Officers for work involving claims assessment, treatment approvals and third-party administrator activities. Applicants with an MBBS or BHMS qualification may be considered, including recent graduates. Previous work in claims, pre-authorisation or a TPA environment is beneficial but is not essential. The position requires careful reading of clinical information and a balanced understanding of treatment details and insurance requirements. Candidates must already be living in the UAE and be comfortable with rotational shifts. People who can start immediately, or within a notice period of 30 days, are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess medical claims by reviewing clinical notes, supporting records and the applicable coverage conditions.
• Handle pre-authorisation requests and forward cases through the required review and approval process.
• Check submitted medical information for accuracy, completeness and relevance before a decision is recorded.
• Coordinate with hospitals, clinics, healthcare professionals, insurers and internal operations teams when clarification is needed.
• Document claim assessments, approval outcomes and supporting information in the required systems.
• Apply established medical insurance procedures consistently and maintain professional communication during case handling.

Requirements and Skills

• Hold an MBBS or BHMS qualification.
• Currently reside in the United Arab Emirates.
• Be available to work rotational shifts as required by the operation.
• Review clinical documentation carefully and understand medical terminology.
• Bring clear communication, analytical thinking and accurate record-keeping skills.
• Fresh graduates may apply; claims, insurance approval or TPA experience is an advantage. Immediate availability or a notice period of up to 30 days is preferred.

Qualifications

MBBS or BHMS is the stated professional qualification. Applicants should be comfortable interpreting clinical records and using medical knowledge when considering treatment information and insurance coverage requirements.

Employment Details
