Lead AI Architect

This technical leadership role is responsible for defining dependable AI-product architecture and guiding solutions from problem discovery through production operations. It aligns product goals with suitable AI techniques, system integrations and infrastructure choices. The architect is expected to validate important decisions hands-on, guide engineering teams, design for safe operation and ensure AI products deliver measurable business outcomes rather than remaining isolated experiments.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with product owners to define use cases, user journeys, feasibility, business value and acceptance criteria before selecting a technical approach.
• Lead design across application, model, data, integration, experience and infrastructure layers, clearly documenting dependencies and architecture decisions.
• Choose suitable predictive ML, generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, multimodal or agentic methods and avoid unnecessary complexity where simpler solutions work better.
• Run structured evaluations of models, frameworks and vendors, balancing quality, security, latency, operating cost and long-term portability.
• Guide delivery through prototypes, architecture reviews, testing, monitoring, rollback plans and incident procedures; embed privacy, access controls and responsible-AI safeguards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Have a strong background in software, solution or AI architecture and evidence of shipping enterprise-grade products.
• Bring approximately eight or more years in engineering or architecture, including three or more years with AI/ML solutions, or equivalent experience.
• Have taken an LLM-based or agentic solution into production and be able to explain evaluation results, operating costs and lessons learned.
• Understand model and prompt evaluation, retrieval, integrations, production monitoring, security and lifecycle controls.
• Be an effective technical mentor and communicator across product, engineering, data, security and operations functions.

Skills

Experience with AI platforms, model-serving, knowledge graphs, tool-integration patterns or enterprise governance can strengthen an application.
