Description
The Junior Sous Chef at Rialto, Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, supports kitchen operations while maintaining food quality, service standards and team discipline. The role is hands-on and includes section supervision, stock management, portion control and compliance with food-safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise assigned kitchen sections and participate actively in service
- ensure tasks are completed to required standards
- monitor stock and portion control
- inspect food for quality and consistency
- minimize waste and control costs
- maintain clean and organized workstations
- monitor grooming and hygiene
- enforce safety procedures and SOPs
- coach team members
- and coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Candidates should have a high school diploma, at least six months of reputable culinary-arts training and previous HACCP training. Three to five years of experience in the same role within luxury hospitality or a high-end restaurant is expected.
