Financial Controller

The Financial Controller oversees the hotel’s financial operations at Radisson Blu Hotel Ajman. The role covers timely financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow, internal controls, tax and audit coordination, and the monitoring of revenue and operating costs. Working closely with the General Manager and department leaders, the successful candidate helps management understand financial performance, reduce waste and make informed operational decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily finance operations and prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Coordinate annual budgets and forecasts, compare actual results with plans and explain significant variances.
• Maintain controls over cash, banking, purchasing, inventory, payroll, receivables, payables and general-ledger transactions.
• Monitor hotel revenue, food and beverage costs, payroll and departmental expenditure to protect profitability.
• Coordinate audits, maintain supporting documentation and ensure compliance with UAE VAT and relevant regulations.
• Lead and develop finance colleagues and advise department heads on financial performance and cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required.
• A CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• Five to eight years of relevant finance or accounting experience is requested, preferably in hospitality.
• Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Assistant Financial Controller or Finance Manager in a hotel is preferred.
• Strong budgeting, hotel accounting, analytical, Excel and communication skills are important; knowledge of UAE VAT is required.
