- A Master STCW 2010 Certificate of Competency Class 1 is indicated, or a relevant technical engineering qualification with suitable tug-operation experience.
- The role calls for around ten years of shore-based port marine operations and vessel technical-management experience.
- For a seagoing route, at least three years of deep-sea sailing with technical experience is relevant.
- Experience managing marine operations, vessel maintenance, crews and statutory requirements is important.
- Candidates should be prepared to support emergency response and operational coverage as required.
