Category Executive

Careem is hiring a Category Executive in Dubai to support its Grocery category team, with a focus on the Ultrafresh segment. The position supports assortment, sourcing, pricing and promotional activity while helping maintain strong product availability and commercial performance. The role suits a detail-oriented professional who understands UAE grocery retail and wants to build deeper expertise in category management.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Category Manager in executing category strategies aligned with commercial and customer goals.
• Assist with sourcing products, maintaining assortment quality and coordinating new product onboarding.
• Work with suppliers to collect product information, pricing, promotional offers and other commercial details.
• Monitor sales, pricing, stock availability and category performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate weekly and monthly promotional activity with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure product listings, content and images are accurate and updated in coordination with content teams.
• Work with supply chain teams on availability, SKU onboarding and replenishment cycles.
• Conduct market research, monitor category trends and benchmark pricing against the UAE market.
• Support supplier relationships and preparation for periodic business reviews.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in the Ultrafresh segment, preferably in retail, quick commerce or e-commerce.
• Strong understanding of the UAE Ultrafresh market, supplier landscape, seasonality and quality standards.
• Good commercial, communication, coordination and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical ability and familiarity with category performance metrics.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; reporting and data tools are an advantage.
• Proactive attitude, attention to detail and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
