Assistant Operations Manager, Gastronomy – Atlantis the Royal

The Assistant Operations Manager will support restaurant leadership in delivering outstanding guest experiences while maintaining strong operational and financial performance. This position is designed for an experienced food and beverage professional who understands all-day dining, people leadership and commercial management. The successful candidate will help translate business objectives into consistent service standards, engaged teams and measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant General Manager with daily operational planning and ensure service standards are consistently achieved across the department.
• Monitor key performance indicators covering guest satisfaction, colleague engagement, product quality and profitability, using results to guide improvement actions.
• Lead, coach and motivate colleagues through structured briefings, training, feedback and performance conversations.
• Coordinate with culinary, service, stewarding and hotel departments to maintain efficient workflows and resolve operational challenges quickly.
• Assist with financial management, including revenue performance, labour productivity, operating costs and departmental profit-and-loss considerations.
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement while maintaining a refined guest experience throughout busy service periods.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of relevant all-day dining or comparable food and beverage experience.
• Previous exposure to a five-star international hotel environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of business performance, commercial priorities and departmental P&L.
• Proven leadership, coaching, communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to remain guest-focused while balancing people, product and profitability objectives.
