Assistant/Associate Professor – Computer and Information Engineering

Job Overview

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computer engineering and related areas according to departmental needs.
• Build a research programme in relevant computing systems topics and publish in respected peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
• Pursue funded research, manage projects responsibly, and develop research partnerships inside and outside the university.
• Supervise graduate students, mentor research staff, and guide student projects in line with academic rank and experience.
• Contribute to course design, curriculum development, assessment, and improvement of engineering education.
• Support innovation, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and interdisciplinary research collaborations where relevant.
• Participate in academic committees, department planning, and professional service while maintaining research integrity and safety.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is expected.
• Candidates should demonstrate a research record appropriate to the proposed academic rank.
• Priority research areas include embedded systems, hardware-software co-design, hardware security, digital design, FPGA prototyping, neuromorphic computing, AI accelerators, and quantum computing.
• Applicants should demonstrate potential or proven strength in teaching, research supervision, and scholarly publication.
• Communication, collaboration, academic integrity, and commitment to innovation are important.
