The IT Specialist – Projects supports delivery of technology initiatives by coordinating tasks, tracking milestones, managing project information, and working with technical and business stakeholders. The role helps ensure that activities remain organised, issues are visible, and agreed deliverables are completed in line with operational priorities and project controls.
The specialist should be comfortable moving between technical teams and business users, translating requirements into practical tasks, and following up on dependencies. Clear reporting, disciplined change control, and early escalation of risks help limit disruption during project implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project activities, action lists, meetings, milestones, and documentation.
- Gather requirements and clarify deliverables with stakeholders and technical contributors.
- Track timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, and decisions through the project lifecycle.
- Support testing, deployment planning, training coordination, and handover to operational teams.
- Prepare status reports and escalate blockers that may affect scope, schedule, or quality.
- Follow change-control, information-security, and project-governance procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience supporting IT projects or technology deployments is expected.
- Relevant technical, business, or project-management education is beneficial.
- Candidates should be comfortable coordinating stakeholders and handling multiple workstreams.
