Description
Supports deployment of technical solutions in customer or operational environments. The Implementation Engineer works with project managers, clients and technical teams to understand scope, prepare plans and configure hardware or software. The role moves a solution from design into a working environment while managing risks, documenting changes and addressing rollout issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with project managers and customers to confirm requirements, scope, timelines and success criteria.
- Prepare plans identifying tasks, resources, dependencies, access requirements and risks.
- Install, configure and validate software or technical components in the target environment.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, application and vendor teams to resolve issues.
- Record installation details, settings, test results and changes.
- Support user acceptance, handover and knowledge transfer to operational teams.
- Escalate issues that could affect delivery dates or service availability.
Requirements and Qualifications
A qualification or practical background in engineering, IT, computer science or a related technical field is relevant. Hands-on troubleshooting and experience with hardware or software environments are useful. Implementation projects, system configuration and customer communication experience are beneficial.
