Description
Lead human resources activities for the MCV business while ensuring compliance with UAE employment requirements and company standards. The HR Manager provides strategic and operational support across workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, performance, payroll, benefits, training and documentation. The position partners with business leaders to maintain the right workforce, strengthen employee engagement and ensure HR processes support safe, efficient marine operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop HR policies and procedures aligned with business needs, labour legislation and applicable management systems.
- Monitor changes in UAE employment legislation and advise managers on implications and required actions.
- Lead manpower planning, recruitment, selection, onboarding and induction for shore-based roles.
- Support sea-staff recruitment and workforce requirements where business needs demand.
- Advise managers on employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievances, performance improvement and exits.
- Coordinate annual performance management and ensure reviews are completed on schedule.
- Oversee payroll preparation, approvals, benefits and compensation processes with Finance.
- Maintain confidential employee records, HR systems, contracts, visas and work-permit documentation.
- Identify training needs and coordinate development, mandatory training and succession initiatives.
- Prepare workforce reports, headcount budgets, HR expenditure analysis and management updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related discipline.
- Solid HR management experience, preferably in marine, logistics, shipping or other operational environments.
- Strong knowledge of UAE labour requirements, employee relations, recruitment and payroll processes.
- Excellent communication, confidentiality, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with HR systems, workforce analytics, audits and training programmes is advantageous.
