Job Description
We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Rooms Controller to join our Front Office team in Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of room operations, ensuring optimal occupancy rates, guest satisfaction, and revenue performance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, analytical capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest operational standards in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Manage daily room inventory, occupancy levels, and room status updates across all property systems
- Oversee front desk operations and coordinate with team members to ensure efficient guest check-in and check-out procedures
- Monitor room maintenance requests and coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure timely resolution
- Analyze room revenue, occupancy rates, and performance metrics to identify trends and optimization opportunities
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management review
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and efficiency
- Coordinate room assignments and allocations to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of room status, maintenance issues, and guest preferences
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve overall guest experience
- Monitor and manage room pricing strategies in coordination with revenue management
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in front office management or rooms operations within a hotel environment
- Proficiency with hotel property management systems (PMS) and related software applications
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations, procedures, and guest service standards
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support staff development
- Preferred: Experience in luxury or upscale hospitality properties
- Preferred: Knowledge of revenue management principles and practices
- Preferred: Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Preferred: Familiarity with UAE hospitality industry standards and practices
