Production

The Production role supports the preparation of ice cream and ice-cream cakes, maintaining consistent recipes, presentation and food-safety standards. The work involves ingredient preparation, equipment operation, quality checks, storage, packing and teamwork to meet production plans and customer orders accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ice cream products according to standard recipes and production schedules.
• Measure and mix ingredients accurately to maintain consistent taste, texture and product quality.
• Operate production equipment safely and monitor freezing, storage and finished-product condition.
• Assemble ice-cream cakes with the correct layers, fillings, toppings and decorations.
• Complete customised orders accurately and on time while maintaining presentation standards.
• Check ingredient freshness, portion sizes, labelling and finished-product quality before packing.
• Follow HACCP, hygiene, temperature control, FIFO stock rotation and sanitation procedures.
• Monitor ingredient and packaging supplies, minimise waste and keep equipment and work areas clean.
• Work with colleagues to meet daily output plans and support peak periods or urgent orders.

Requirements and Skills

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in ice cream, bakery, pastry, dessert or food manufacturing is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and production processes.
• Cake decorating skills and knowledge of food safety are preferred.
• Ability to work in a cold production environment and follow hygiene procedures.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Candidates should also demonstrate the role-related skills listed above and be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders.
