Assembly, Repair, Maintenance and Overhaul Mechanic

The Assembly, Repair, Maintenance and Overhaul Mechanic performs hands-on technical work to maintain, repair, assemble, and inspect equipment used in energy operations. The role supports workshop and equipment-reliability activities through careful use of tools, interpretation of drawings, checking of components, and accurate work records. It requires a practical mechanical approach and consistent compliance with safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out assembly, disassembly, repair, maintenance, and overhaul activities on assigned mechanical equipment and components.
• Inspect parts and equipment, identify damage or wear, and record findings for quality review and disposition.
• Read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, parts lists, and formal work instructions.
• Use hand tools, measurement instruments, and workshop equipment appropriately and maintain a tidy, safe work area.
• Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and verification activities to confirm that repaired equipment meets required standards.
• Maintain equipment history, job records, and quality documentation and coordinate third-party repair work when required.
• Follow health, safety, environmental, and quality policies throughout all workshop and maintenance tasks.

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school or secondary education; a college or engineering qualification can be an advantage.
• Previous experience in a mechanical workshop or equipment maintenance environment is useful.
• Hydraulic engine, pump, or related mechanical-system experience is preferred.
• Ability to interpret drawings and parts lists and use basic measurement tools and hand tools.
• Knowledge of hydraulic or electrical circuits and a methodical approach to troubleshooting are beneficial.
