Bartender

The Bartender prepares and serves beverages while creating a welcoming, professional experience for hotel guests. The role requires sound knowledge of beverage ingredients, recipes, glassware and service techniques, together with the ability to work closely with the wider Food & Beverage team. Accuracy, cleanliness and responsible service are important in maintaining the outlet’s standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages and cocktails according to approved recipes, presentation guidelines and guest preferences.
• Explain beverage selections, ingredients and flavour profiles and make suitable recommendations when requested.
• Take orders accurately, process transactions and communicate with service colleagues to keep delivery timely.
• Set up, clean and replenish the bar, tools, glassware, garnishes and operating supplies.
• Monitor stock levels, rotate products appropriately and report shortages or equipment concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow hygiene, safety and responsible-service procedures throughout each shift.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Relevant beverage service experience and knowledge of drink preparation, hygiene and responsible service are useful.
• Knowledge of classic drinks, spirits, wines, beers and non-alcoholic options is beneficial.
• Food safety, hygiene and responsible-service awareness are important.
• Confidence using point-of-sale systems and handling guest requests is an advantage.

A successful candidate is service-minded, organised and observant, with good product knowledge and an approachable manner. The position also requires teamwork, careful cash and order handling, and the ability to maintain quality when the bar is busy. Relevant working knowledge of the assigned department and the ability to follow established procedures will help the successful candidate contribute from the start.
