Description
Khansaheb Group is seeking a Barista to support its food and beverage operations in Dubai. The role combines beverage preparation, customer service, accurate order entry, payment handling and upkeep of a clean service area. The successful applicant will welcome customers, understand their preferences and help deliver a consistent experience in line with restaurant or cafe service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, answer menu questions and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit.
- Prepare hot and cold beverages according to established recipes, presentation standards and customer preferences.
- Take orders accurately through the point-of-sale system and communicate special requests to the service team.
- Handle cash and card payments carefully and provide bills when customers request them.
- Prepare service stations and ensure ingredients, cups, utensils and equipment are ready before service begins.
- Clear tables, replenish supplies and respond promptly to customer requests during busy periods.
- Maintain knowledge of menu ingredients, allergens, preparation methods and product features to support informed choices.
- Keep work areas, seating spaces, tools and beverage equipment clean and sanitised.
- Coordinate with colleagues and provide clear handovers when shifts change.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Two to three years of experience in a restaurant or cafe environment.
- Good beverage-making ability and a customer-focused service approach.
- Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems is useful.
- Ability to work as part of a team and remain organised during busy service.
- Understanding of hygiene, equipment care and workplace safety procedures.
Skills and Competencies
Strong customer interaction, accurate order taking, attention to detail, teamwork, time management and a helpful manner are important. The role also requires product knowledge, careful payment handling and consistent hygiene practices.
