Assistant Manager – F & B (Corniche Hospital)

Job Overview

SEHA is seeking an Assistant Manager - F&B to support the management of food services at Corniche Hospital. The role combines operational leadership, catering contractor oversight, patient and cafeteria menu coordination, food safety, hygiene, service quality and staff management in a hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for the food and beverage/food services section and support long-term operational planning.
• Supervise and monitor catering contractors to ensure contractual requirements, service levels, food quality and patient dietary requirements are consistently met.
• Coordinate patient, cafeteria, Royal and VIP menus and support meal production and special functions.
• Check food deliveries against contract specifications and monitor the safe operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Maintain food hygiene, sanitation, cleanliness and safe-work standards and conduct periodic inspections for compliance.
• Collect, review and maintain food-service operational data and prepare productivity and performance statistics.
• Support annual capital-equipment budgeting and monitor the effective use of available resources.
• Promote customer satisfaction, respond appropriately to complaints and help improve the patient and visitor experience.
• Support recruitment activities, staff work plans, performance reviews, attendance, rosters, overtime and leave administration.
• Lead or support quality-improvement activities and keep the team informed about relevant food-service trends and developments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Management, Healthcare Management, a clinical discipline or another relevant field; a relevant diploma may be considered with additional experience.
• 4–6 years of progressively responsible relevant experience.
• Experience in a large healthcare facility is desirable.
• Strong understanding of food-service operations, hygiene, sanitation, contractor management and customer service.
• Good planning, communication, leadership and team-coordination skills.
