Description
The Operations Manager, Fitness leads the daily delivery, commercial performance and service standards of AWAKEN Fitness at Atlantis The Royal. The role covers fitness, movement, recovery and membership services, with responsibility for guest experience, team development, safety and profitability. It suits a hands-on leader who can balance luxury service with operational control, build a strong team culture and introduce relevant wellness experiences that support member loyalty. The position is based in Dubai, UAE, and offers an opportunity to contribute to a professional team focused on consistent service, quality and operational results.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily fitness, movement, recovery and membership operations, ensuring facilities, service delivery and team coverage remain dependable.
- Maintain cleanliness, presentation, equipment reliability and safety standards across fitness and wellness areas.
- Manage revenue targets, budgets, labour costs and expenses; use KPIs and forecasts to guide operational decisions.
- Recruit, coach and develop fitness professionals and wellness attendants, providing performance feedback and supporting career progression.
- Manage guest feedback and service recovery, resolving concerns professionally and protecting the privacy of VIPs and high-profile visitors.
- Work with spa, nutrition and hotel teams to create integrated wellness programmes, member events and relevant partnerships.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience should include at least three years as a Fitness Manager, five years as an Assistant Fitness Manager or a comparable leadership role.
- A strong understanding of fitness, wellness and spa trends, guest expectations and operational best practice is important.
- Commercial judgement, budget management, reporting and a focus on service quality are required.
- Candidates should demonstrate confident leadership, conflict resolution and effective communication with varied stakeholders.
- The ability to stay hands-on and make sound decisions in a busy luxury operation is essential.
