Description
The HVAC Technician maintains and repairs heating, ventilation and air-conditioning equipment to support comfortable and safe building conditions. The work includes preventive servicing, fault diagnosis, timely repairs and monitoring system performance. The role may also involve coordinating junior technicians and helping organise maintenance activities so equipment remains reliable and service requests are completed properly.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and service HVAC equipment and related components according to approved maintenance plans.
- Troubleshoot faults affecting cooling, airflow, temperature control and system operation.
- Carry out timely repairs and verify that equipment functions correctly after service.
- Inspect system performance and report recurring issues or possible equipment failures.
- Support maintenance planning and coordinate assigned tasks with junior technicians where required.
- Use relevant tools and testing equipment safely and maintain tidy work areas.
- Record inspection results, completed work and follow-up actions in the maintenance system.
- Follow safety procedures and communicate with supervisors when a fault requires specialist support.
Requirements and Qualifications
- At least two years of hands-on HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance experience.
- Experience with FAHU, AHU, FCU, split AC, ducted split and package units.
- Two years of GCC experience or five years in HVAC within FM or maintenance.
- ITI certification in a related field is preferred.
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
Skills and Competencies
A practical understanding of HVAC components, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and work-order reporting is required. Good organisation, safe working habits and the ability to coordinate with colleagues are also important for this role.
