Description
The Senior Manager - Projects leads the end-to-end delivery of important technology initiatives and business-system changes. The portfolio may include enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, HCM, finance platforms, SaaS solutions, integrations, and workflow tools. The role is accountable for delivery plans, scope, quality, budget, risk, stakeholder alignment, deployment readiness, and operational handover. It also helps ensure users adopt new solutions and that project outcomes are measurable and aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Own delivery strategy for assigned programmes and projects, selecting a suitable agile, waterfall, or hybrid approach.
- Build and maintain plans covering scope, milestones, budget, resources, risks, dependencies, testing, deployment, and handover.
- Coordinate business owners, internal delivery teams, technology specialists, vendors, and implementation partners.
- Monitor progress, resolve blockers, manage changes, and communicate delivery status and decisions to stakeholders.
- Ensure solutions are tested, deployed safely, documented, and transferred to operational support with clear ownership.
- Track adoption and benefits after launch and identify lessons that improve future project delivery.
Requirements
- Experience leading enterprise IT projects from planning and design through deployment and operational transition.
- Knowledge of enterprise applications, integrations, workflow platforms, and project governance practices.
- Ability to manage budgets, vendors, dependencies, delivery risks, and competing stakeholder expectations.
- Comfort working with both technical specialists and business leaders to agree priorities and outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong planning, leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Clear reporting and documentation, including project status, risk logs, and change-control records.
- Ability to manage delivery quality while maintaining realistic timelines and stakeholder confidence.
