National Trainee – Operations

Emirates Global Aluminium’s National Trainee – Operations programme offers UAE Nationals an entry route into industrial operations at the company’s Al Taweelah and Jebel Ali locations. The programme is intended particularly for high-school leavers and prepares trainees for operational roles across the smelter, power, desalination, maintenance and technical areas. Training is structured to build practical knowledge, workplace confidence and the safe operating skills needed for a long-term career.

Training and Key Responsibilities

• Participate in an intensive training programme lasting from six months to three years, depending on the assigned pathway and development requirements.
• Complete classroom-based learning that introduces relevant technical concepts and operating procedures.
• Take part in practical workshop training to develop hands-on knowledge and familiarity with tools and equipment.
• Undertake on-the-job training in the assigned EGA operating area under the guidance of experienced personnel.
• Learn safe working practices, plant procedures and the responsibilities associated with the selected operational discipline.
• Develop the technical knowledge and practical competencies required for the target role.
• Work cooperatively with trainers, supervisors and other trainees and demonstrate a responsible approach to learning.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Must be a UAE National.
• Hold a High School Certificate, preferably with science or technical subjects, or have relevant work experience.
• Have good communication skills in English.
• Have completed National Service, where applicable.
• Meet the stated age range of 19 to 32 years.
