Maintenance and Engineering Intern – Umm Al Quwain (UAQ)

Henkel is offering an early-career engineering opportunity supporting plant maintenance, engineering projects and continuous-improvement activities in Umm Al Quwain. The intern will gain practical exposure to preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, project execution, spare-parts control, calibration documentation and plant operations while working with internal teams and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Support preventive-maintenance planning and maintenance activities through SAP.
• Assist engineering projects from planning and execution through commissioning.
• Participate in troubleshooting and help identify root causes of recurring equipment failures.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, service providers and internal stakeholders.
• Support spare-parts management and monitor critical inventory and stock levels.
• Assist with calibration planning, records, certificates and coordination.
• Prepare engineering documents, reports and data analysis for maintenance and project activities.
• Contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives across Engineering and Maintenance.
• Follow HSE requirements and Life Saving Rules in field and office activities.
• Build practical understanding of manufacturing, industrial and process-plant operations.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in a relevant technical discipline.
• Fresh graduate or early-career professional with 0–2 years of experience.
• Strong interest in engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, industrial, process or chemical environments.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset with interest in root-cause analysis.
• Good attention to technical records, maintenance documentation and calibration data.
• Good collaboration and communication skills with advanced English.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office; SAP exposure is an advantage.
