Electrical & Maintenance Engineer – Umm Al Quwain

Henkel is looking for an Electrical & Maintenance Engineer to strengthen manufacturing reliability in Umm Al Quwain. The role focuses on preventive-maintenance strategy, electrical troubleshooting, automation and control systems, engineering projects, spare-parts planning, safety compliance and continuous improvement of reliability, energy performance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and optimize preventive-maintenance strategies and plans using SAP.
• Lead electrical troubleshooting and root-cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Provide technical expertise across electrical, automation and industrial control systems.
• Support engineering projects from concept and installation through commissioning.
• Drive automation and digitalization initiatives involving PLC, SCADA and HMI systems.
• Collaborate with internal functions, contractors, suppliers and technical stakeholders.
• Develop critical spare-parts strategies and improve maintenance inventory availability.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure engineering work complies with applicable standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, energy performance and plant efficiency.
• Document maintenance, project and reliability activities and communicate technical findings clearly.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, process or chemical environments.
• Strong electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and reliability-engineering experience.
• Knowledge of power distribution, automation, PLC, SCADA and HMI systems.
• Proficiency in SAP maintenance modules and preventive-maintenance management.
• Experience with commissioning, installation and project execution.
• Root-cause analysis and reliability-improvement capability.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and engineering compliance.
• Advanced English and effective cross-functional collaboration skills.
