Description
The Painter / Polisher position is designed for a team member who can contribute reliably to the hotel’s daily operation. The Painter / Polisher helps maintain the appearance and condition of hotel interiors, fixtures and assigned surfaces. The role includes preparing work areas, applying suitable finishes, carrying out touch-ups and ensuring repairs are neat, durable and completed with minimal disruption to guests. Key Responsibilities
- Inspect surfaces and identify the preparation or finishing work needed before starting a task.
- Prepare walls, woodwork, metal or other approved surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling and masking.
- Apply paint, coatings or polish using suitable tools and methods for the material.
- Complete touch-ups and repairs to maintain a consistent finish in guest and back-of-house areas.
- Protect surrounding furniture, equipment and flooring, and leave work areas orderly after completion.
- Store materials correctly, monitor supply levels and report damaged tools or unsafe conditions.
- Coordinate work timing with engineering colleagues to reduce inconvenience and maintain property standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Practical painting, polishing or surface-maintenance experience is useful.
- Candidates should understand safe handling of tools, coatings and finishing materials.
- Attention to detail, steady workmanship and good time management are important.
- The ability to follow instructions and work safely in an occupied hotel environment is expected.
