Electrician

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances and lighting fixtures.
• Diagnose faults in circuits, equipment and electrical components using appropriate testing instruments and safe procedures.
• Read wiring diagrams and schematics, and complete work in line with job specifications and applicable local codes.
• Respond to maintenance requests and carry out preventive servicing to reduce disruption and equipment failure.
• Check emergency lighting and generator batteries where assigned, and report defects that could affect safety.
• Maintain records of parts, materials and repairs, and request supplies needed to complete authorised work.
• Protect guests and colleagues by reporting hazards, securing work areas and following safety procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A technical, trade or vocational qualification is preferred for this role.
• At least two years of related work experience is listed as a preferred qualification.
• A valid driver’s licence is required according to the position details.
• Candidates should be able to work with tools, test equipment and maintenance documentation safely.
• Education background: Technical, Trade or Vocational School Degree.
