Description
The Electrician carries out electrical installation, maintenance and repair work for project and operational facilities in Dubai. The role requires safe working practices, the ability to identify electrical faults and the discipline to complete jobs in line with instructions and technical requirements. A UAE manual driving licence is specifically required for travel between assigned work locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment, lighting and related systems.
- Identify faults, use suitable testing equipment and carry out safe corrective work.
- Read wiring diagrams, layouts and work instructions before starting installation or maintenance.
- Follow isolation, permit-to-work and other electrical safety procedures at all times.
- Record completed tasks, materials used and defects that require further attention.
- Travel to assigned locations using a manual-transmission vehicle and coordinate work with supervisors.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Qualification requirement: Valid UAE manual driving licence; electrical trade qualification or experience.
- Hold a valid UAE manual driving licence.
- Have suitable electrical trade training, certification or practical work experience.
- Understand electrical safety, basic testing methods and installation practices.
- Be able to read wiring diagrams and follow technical instructions.
- Reliability, safe work habits and clear communication are important.
Skills and Competencies
The position requires hands-on electrical knowledge, safe fault-finding, accurate installation and practical use of tools and test equipment. The electrician should be dependable, organised and able to work independently while communicating progress and safety concerns to the supervisor.
