Senior Engineer, Electrical Maintenance

Provide senior engineering support for electrical maintenance activities across plant equipment and power networks. The role develops maintenance practices, coordinates overhauls and shutdowns, resolves critical breakdowns and recommends upgrades that improve equipment availability, reliability and integrity. This full-time opportunity is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with duties and stakeholder interfaces shaped by the assigned function and asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical-maintenance codes of practice, procedures and guidance consistent with corporate standards.
• Review existing practices and introduce modern techniques that improve productivity, equipment availability and reliability.
• Plan and supervise major overhauls, extraordinary maintenance programmes and short- and long-term shutdown activities.
• Provide technical advice during critical electrical equipment breakdowns and coordinate corrective action with operations teams.
• Review plant-change requests and conduct engineering studies to confirm feasibility, safety and technical suitability.
• Investigate recurring maintenance problems, support root-cause analysis and recommend suitable equipment upgrades or repairs.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 6 years of engineering and maintenance experience; oil and gas experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment, power networks, maintenance methods and equipment reliability is important.
• Candidates should be able to produce technical and economic documentation and coordinate work safely across functions.
