Description
The Manager - Design coordinates architectural and urban-design activities across real estate development projects. The role supports master planning, architecture, interior design and placemaking, bringing together landscape, mobility and public-realm considerations. Designs should respond to project objectives, UAE regulations, climate and cultural context while balancing quality, sustainability, cost and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead urban-design strategies and small-to-mid-scale master plans that integrate architecture, landscape, mobility and public space.
- Coordinate master planning, architectural and interior-design work across multiple stakeholders and consultant teams.
- Develop design briefs, requests for proposals and consultant scopes aligned with business and project objectives.
- Support design benchmarking, market research and evaluation or prequalification of architectural and specialist consultants.
- Review drawings, reports, specifications and schedules; control design documents and versions; support site visits and resolve design issues.
Requirements and Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related field is required, along with 7–10 years of experience in architecture or design management, including management of external design consultants. Candidates should understand architectural design principles, consultancy agreements, cost implications, value engineering and design-risk mitigation. Strong proficiency with BIM, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Adobe tools is expected. Arabic in addition to English is an advantage.

Performance Expectations
Strong performance produces coordinated, buildable design packages, consistent project identity and timely resolution of design queries. Consultant performance and risks remain visible, and design decisions support quality, efficiency and the objectives of the development.
