Commis 3 is an excellent opportunity for an early-career culinary professional to develop practical skills in a high-standard restaurant kitchen. Working alongside experienced chefs, the successful candidate will assist with preparation, mise en place, cleanliness and service support while building the discipline required for progression through professional kitchen grades. A genuine passion for food, learning and teamwork is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete assigned food preparation and mise en place tasks accurately and according to kitchen instructions and production schedules.
• Assist chefs during service by preparing ingredients, maintaining workstation readiness and completing tasks within required timeframes.
• Follow food-safety, hygiene, storage and sanitation procedures at all times and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Handle ingredients and kitchen equipment responsibly while following instructions relating to quality, portioning and safe working methods.
• Support receiving, labeling, storage and rotation of food items to help maintain freshness and minimize unnecessary waste.
• Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen colleagues, accept feedback positively and actively participate in training and skills development.

Requirements

• Around one to two years of experience in a similar kitchen role, preferably in an international luxury hotel or restaurant.
• Basic understanding of professional culinary techniques and kitchen organization.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage several tasks during busy periods.
• Positive team attitude, discipline and willingness to learn from experienced chefs.
• Clear passion for food and a long-term interest in developing a culinary career.
