Senior Manager _ Projects _ Homecentre

Homecentre is seeking a Senior Manager - Projects to manage fit-out projects covering new stores, refits, refreshes and rollout programs. The role takes projects from inception and concept coordination through construction and handover, with responsibility for planning, contractor evaluation, material specifications, execution, monitoring, reporting and project control. Success requires strong coordination across internal teams, consultants, malls and contractors while protecting cost, quality, schedule and safety objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage moderate to high-complexity retail fit-out projects from inception through completion.
• Create project vision, planning documents, workstreams, schedules and communication plans.
• Coordinate project requirements, verify deliverables and maintain documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage contractor evaluation, site execution, project monitoring and cost control.
• Coordinate with MEP consultants to ensure service requirements integrate correctly with architectural designs.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with internal departments, consultants, malls and contractors.
• Ensure projects remain within approved scope, budget and timelines while maintaining business continuity.
• Implement company procedures and protect the organization’s contractual position throughout project delivery.
• Monitor technical, quality, safety and construction requirements and resolve delivery issues.
• Provide project reporting, performance tracking and timely escalation of risks or deviations.
• Coordinate handover activities and ensure completed projects meet agreed standards and requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant project-management experience.
• Experience in retail fit-out, construction, refit, refresh or rollout projects.
• Strong contractor, consultant and stakeholder-management capability.
• Knowledge of MEP coordination, project planning, cost control and site execution.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and teams and deliver under defined budgets and schedules.
• Strong communication, documentation and problem-solving skills.
