Draughtsman

We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Draughtsman specializing in solar energy projects. This role involves producing precise technical drawings and supporting documentation for solar power systems. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure all designs meet regulatory standards and contribute to efficient, high-performance solar installations.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Drafting & Design

• Create detailed site layouts, electrical schematics, and elevation plans using CAD tools
• Develop equipment placement diagrams and system specifications for solar projects

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with engineering and project teams to interpret requirements and translate them into accurate drawings
• Ensure compliance with design standards, safety protocols, and customer specifications

3. Documentation & Records Management

• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and updates throughout the project lifecycle
• Archive finalized documents for reference and audit purposes

4. Design Optimization

• Integrate modern design improvements for efficiency, cost savings, and system performance
• Explore technological innovations to enhance system layout and implementation

5. Quality Control & Compliance

• Review all drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with NEC, IEC, and local codes
• Address discrepancies or conflicts through coordination with relevant stakeholders

6. Communication & Coordination

• Liaise effectively with engineers, technicians, contractors, and brand partners to ensure smooth execution
• Resolve design-related issues collaboratively during project development

7. Professional Growth & Industry Awareness

• Stay current with solar energy trends and drafting best practices
• Seek learning opportunities to refine skills and bring innovative ideas to the table

📋 Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma; certification or coursework in drafting, engineering, or a related field preferred
• Strong command of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent)
• Excellent technical drawing ability with attention to detail and precision
• Familiarity with photovoltaic systems, inverters, and solar components
• Understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project scopes
• Experience or knowledge of construction workflows and project management tools is a plus
