Description
Lead the full contract-management lifecycle for agreements with clients, vendors and business partners. The role protects commercial interests by ensuring contracts are properly structured, negotiated, documented, monitored and renewed while contractual risks are identified early. Working with legal, finance, procurement and operational teams, the Contract Manager will provide practical guidance on obligations, variations, claims, disputes and compliance and will continuously improve contract governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead contract preparation, review, negotiation, execution and ongoing administration.
- Ensure agreements align with applicable legal, regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Identify commercial and contractual risks and develop appropriate mitigation actions.
- Coordinate with legal, finance, procurement, operations and business stakeholders.
- Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, milestones, service levels and performance.
- Manage amendments, variations, claims, renewals and dispute-resolution processes.
- Maintain complete and accurate contract registers, records and supporting documentation.
- Advise stakeholders on contract interpretation, obligations and compliance requirements.
- Support internal audits, governance reviews and contract-performance assessments.
- Improve contract-management procedures, templates, controls and best practices across the function.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law, business, commercial management, procurement or a related field.
- Relevant contract-management experience in a large corporate, logistics, infrastructure or commercial environment.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, documentation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple agreements, deadlines, claims and competing priorities.
- Leadership capability and practical understanding of commercial risk, compliance and contract governance.
