Assistant Professor in Operations Management

The Assistant Professor in Management contributes to teaching, research, and academic service within Abu Dhabi University’s business-related programmes. The position supports students across undergraduate and postgraduate study while strengthening curriculum quality, applied learning, scholarly output, and links with professional practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Management and related business disciplines, using clear explanations and applied examples.
• Develop course materials, syllabi, lesson plans, and assessment methods that align with programme outcomes and current professional practice.
• Supervise student projects, internships, dissertations, and theses where applicable, and provide timely feedback on academic progress.
• Maintain an active research agenda and seek publication in reputable peer-reviewed journals; interdisciplinary or practice-oriented work is welcome.
• Contribute to curriculum review, accreditation, departmental and university committees, and initiatives that improve the student experience.
• Engage with industry and professional communities so that teaching reflects current methods, tools, standards, and workplace needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A PhD in Management or a closely related discipline from a recognised university is generally expected for the faculty rank.
• Demonstrated teaching ability, research potential or a record of scholarly publications, and a commitment to high-quality student learning.
• Professional certifications or relevant industry/consultancy experience may strengthen an application in applied business fields; English proficiency is required and Arabic is an advantage where stated.
