Teller / Senior Teller / Head Teller (UAE National)

Job overview: Commercial Bank of Dubai is seeking a Teller / Senior Teller / Head Teller (UAE National) to join its banking team in the United Arab Emirates. Handle branch cash transactions and support the daily operation of the teller counter. Depending on the assigned level, the role may also review transactions, guide colleagues and help maintain safe, efficient cash and service procedures. The successful candidate will work with colleagues and stakeholders to support reliable service, sound decisions and the bank’s operating standards. This vacancy is intended for UAE Nationals.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer deposits, withdrawals, cheque payments and inter-account transfers within approved authority limits.
• Check cheques and debit instruments before payment and ensure that customer accounts are correctly debited.
• Balance daily teller transactions, review voucher bundles and reconcile totals with transaction reports.
• Escalate transactions requiring additional approval and follow procedures designed to prevent unauthorised overdrafts or errors.
• Guide customers toward suitable digital services and help resolve routine branch transaction queries.
• At senior levels, support teller training, review transaction quality and assist branch operations management when required.

Requirements and qualifications

• Graduate qualification, preferably in a commercially oriented discipline, or a diploma in business or finance-related subjects.
• Candidates should have 2–6 years of retail banking experience with a sound understanding of teller and cash transactions.
• Strong accuracy, customer service and understanding of banking procedures are important.
