Job overview: Commercial Bank of Dubai is seeking a Senior Manager, CMAT & Quality Assurance to join its banking team in the United Arab Emirates. Deliver compliance monitoring, testing and quality assurance across a regulated banking environment. The role evaluates compliance processes and controls, reports findings and supports continuous improvement of the bank’s assurance framework. The successful candidate will work with colleagues and stakeholders to support reliable service, sound decisions and the bank’s operating standards.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and conduct compliance monitoring and testing activities using approved methodologies and review standards.
- Assess the effectiveness and consistency of compliance processes, controls and supporting evidence.
- Monitor regulatory developments and emerging risks, advising management on relevant control and assurance implications.
- Build working relationships with business stakeholders to support reviews and resolve findings.
- Prepare management information, reports and thematic insights, escalating significant compliance concerns where appropriate.
- Contribute to improvements in monitoring methods, reporting frameworks, automation and quality assurance practices.
Requirements and qualifications
- Experience in compliance monitoring, testing, quality assurance or control assurance within a regulated banking environment is relevant.
- Understanding of UAE regulatory requirements, internal governance standards and control evaluation is important.
- Ability to document findings, assess control effectiveness and support remediation is required.
- Demonstrated ability to organise work, manage priorities and meet agreed deadlines.
- A professional approach, sound judgement and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality are important.
