Senior Internal Auditor

Al Tayer Group is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to help evaluate internal controls, risk management and governance across business functions. The role typically involves planning and performing audit assignments, reviewing supporting records, testing controls and communicating practical recommendations to management. The successful candidate will help the organization identify risks, strengthen compliance and improve operational effectiveness through evidence-based audit work.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to risk assessments and audit planning based on business priorities and potential exposure.
• Plan and conduct audits of financial, operational and compliance processes in relevant business functions.
• Review policies, transactions and supporting evidence to evaluate the design and operation of controls.
• Document findings clearly and discuss recommendations with process owners and management.
• Track agreed corrective actions and follow up to assess whether identified issues have been resolved.
• Maintain professional audit documentation and comply with applicable policies, standards and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Relevant experience in internal audit, risk assurance, compliance or a closely related field.
• A degree or professional qualification in accounting, finance, audit or a related discipline is relevant.
• Knowledge of internal controls, governance, risk-based audit methods and business processes.
• Strong analytical ability, evidence evaluation and report-writing skills.
• Professional integrity, independence and confidence working with stakeholders across departments.
