Description
The Senior Manager – AI Software Engineer is a hands-on engineering role responsible for designing, building and operating production-grade AI agents on Microsoft Foundry. The work uses Python, Azure services and enterprise data integrations to turn prototypes into reliable agentic applications. The engineer partners with Product, Data Science and Architecture teams, balancing technical quality, security, observability and measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and deploy pro-code AI agents using Microsoft Foundry and its agent framework, model catalogue and tool-calling capabilities.
- Integrate agents with enterprise data platforms, including Palantir Foundry through Model Context Protocol (MCP), and relevant tools or services.
- Implement LLM application patterns such as function calling, structured outputs, retrieval-augmented generation, memory and multi-agent orchestration.
- Use Azure services such as Azure OpenAI, AI Search, identity, storage and serverless compute to support secure agent workflows.
- Build evaluation, tracing, prompt and response logging, and observability practices to test quality and production behaviour.
- Use Git, CI/CD, containers and infrastructure-as-code practices to deploy and operate production solutions.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Strong hands-on Python engineering and experience taking AI/ML or agent projects from prototype to production.
- Practical understanding of LLM application patterns, tool integration, RAG and orchestration.
- Exposure to Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, enterprise identity and related Azure services.
- Understanding of evaluation frameworks, observability, CI/CD and software engineering fundamentals.
- Analytical problem-solving, collaboration and comfort bringing clarity to ambiguous requirements.
