Junior Animal Keeper – Green Planet – Dubai Holding Entertainment

This role supports the care and welfare of animals within a managed indoor nature attraction. Daily work requires consistency, attention to animal behaviour, sound hygiene, accurate record keeping and close cooperation with experienced animal-care colleagues. The postholder follows established care plans and safety procedures, helping maintain appropriate habitats and a positive experience for visitors while putting animal welfare first.

Dubai Holding Entertainment seeks a dependable professional who can work collaboratively, exercise good judgement and help improve results over time. Animal welfare, hygiene and safety take priority; tasks must be carried out consistently and in accordance with approved care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with routine feeding, cleaning, habitat preparation and other care tasks under the direction of senior keepers.
• Observe animal behaviour and condition, reporting changes or concerns promptly to the responsible specialist.
• Maintain clean habitats, tools, food-preparation areas and animal-care equipment in accordance with hygiene procedures.
• Follow approved handling, biosecurity, safety and welfare protocols for the relevant species and enclosure.
• Keep care records and stock information accurate, and support scheduled checks and daily husbandry routines.
• Work respectfully with colleagues and support visitor education or interpretation activities when assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Genuine interest in animal welfare, husbandry, conservation or zoological environments.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, work physically active shifts and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Good observation skills, reliability and willingness to learn from experienced animal-care professionals.
• Clear communication and teamwork, including timely reporting of concerns and accurate record keeping.
• Relevant animal-care education or practical experience is beneficial where applicable; welfare and safety procedures must be followed.
