Description
The Ride Technician supports the safe, reliable operation of amusement rides at Global Village. The work includes planned preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection and maintenance documentation, with guest and employee safety as the first priority. The role also supports ride opening, suspension and reopening checks, as well as seasonal preparation and close-out activities.
Dubai Holding Entertainment seeks a dependable professional who can work collaboratively, exercise good judgement and help improve results over time. Solutions should be useful, secure and measurable, with appropriate human oversight and a clear understanding of data limitations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance so rides and devices remain in safe operating condition.
- Repair, maintain and troubleshoot ride systems and support the timely resolution of technical faults.
- Complete routine inspections, maintenance checks, checklists and accurate maintenance records.
- Support ride inspections and independent third-party inspection or compliance activities.
- Verify safe ride opening, suspension and reopening in accordance with approved procedures.
- Assist with pre-opening setup, in-season maintenance, seasonal close-out and off-season work.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Diploma, degree, industrial certificate or equivalent technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation or a related discipline.
- At least two years of hands-on maintenance experience in an engineering or technical environment.
- Working knowledge of relevant amusement-ride standards, including EN 13814 and EN 17020, is required by the listing.
- Ability to read blueprints, mechanical schematics, ride drawings and manufacturer manuals.
- Experience in theme parks, attractions, manufacturing or third-party inspections is advantageous.
