Description
Qatar Airways Cargo is recruiting a Freighter Operations Support Manager in Doha. The role supports strategic and operational objectives across freighter operations, including Loadmasters, Special Loads, Charter Operations and Freight Centralised Load Control. It emphasises safety, security, compliance, business continuity and operational resilience across a changing global cargo network.
The successful candidate is expected to follow established procedures, keep relevant records accurate and maintain open communication with colleagues. Operational priorities may change during a shift, so flexibility, sound judgment and the ability to complete assigned work safely and on time are important.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee freighter operations across loadmaster, special-load, charter and centralised load-control activities.
- Maintain operational safety, security, regulatory compliance and integrity across the network.
- Lead business-continuity planning, disruption response and contingency-management activities.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to protect service delivery and resolve operational issues.
- Monitor operational performance and identify improvements that strengthen resilience, efficiency and consistency.
- Provide leadership, direction and management oversight to teams responsible for cargo operations support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 7 years of job-related experience.
- Leadership or team-management experience in aviation, cargo operations, logistics, supply chain or air transport is relevant.
- Strong analytical, communication, decision-making and stakeholder-management skills are expected.
- Experience with operational improvement and change initiatives is preferred; integrity and safety focus are essential.
