Description
Qatar Executive is recruiting for a Lead Engineer through a virtual recruitment event in Doha. The role is accountable for aircraft serviceability and airworthiness, ensuring scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is completed safely, efficiently and in line with Qatar Civil Aviation Authority requirements and company procedures. It also leads the technical team and manages shift resources to support aircraft availability.
Engineering decisions must follow approved documentation and licence authority. Clear records, safe task execution and early communication of technical risks help maintain airworthiness, quality and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance activity for assigned business aircraft and ensure work is completed to required standards.
- Exercise licence and approvals for maintenance, defect rectification and release-to-service tasks within authorised scope.
- Manage shift resources and coverage for leave, training, sickness and other absences.
- Allocate staff and monitor work progress to ensure aircraft defects are rectified efficiently.
- Review maintenance procedures and equipment and implement practical technical improvements.
- Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, suppliers and other departments to resolve aircraft defects and support work packages.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 6 years of job-related experience.
- A licensed engineer who can hold at least one Qatar Executive aircraft type authorisation is required.
- Recognised aircraft trade training and a mechanical or avionics licence, preferably EASA, are relevant.
- Previous supervisory experience in line and base maintenance and sound knowledge of aviation legislation are required.
