Description
Qatar Airways is recruiting a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B2) for line maintenance in Doha. The role supports flight operations by carrying out and overseeing electrical and avionics maintenance within licence authority. It requires sound technical judgment, efficient allocation of work and compliance with approved maintenance data, airline procedures and aviation legislation.
Engineering decisions must follow approved documentation and licence authority. Clear records, safe task execution and early communication of technical risks help maintain airworthiness, quality and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out and supervise assigned B2 line-maintenance checks and defect rectification within approved privileges.
- Plan work priorities to support aircraft dispatch and scheduled maintenance activity.
- Ensure staff under supervision follow technical manuals, customer procedures and safety requirements.
- Confirm that correct tools and equipment are used and that workmanship meets quality standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and coordinate technical issues with the relevant engineering teams.
- Support team development through guidance, coaching and clear communication.
Requirements
- High-school, vocational or diploma qualification with at least 5 years of job-related experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years.
- A diploma or degree in aircraft maintenance or aircraft engineering is required.
- The role requires the applicable full Qatar Airways main-fleet ICAO/QCAA licence and approvals.
- Knowledge of air legislation, equipment control, problem-solving and team leadership is expected.
