Description
Qatar Airways is recruiting a Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level I specialising in aircraft structures in Doha. The role carries out and oversees maintenance activities within approved licence privileges to support flight operations and maintain structural airworthiness. It requires accurate technical work, effective use of tools and close adherence to engineering documentation and safety standards.
Engineering decisions must follow approved documentation and licence authority. Clear records, safe task execution and early communication of technical risks help maintain airworthiness, quality and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan assigned structural maintenance tasks and use approved equipment and tooling according to company procedures.
- Inspect and assess structural defects, repairs and related work within the engineer’s approved authority.
- Follow approved maintenance manuals, engineering orders and repair instructions and maintain complete records.
- Review workmanship and confirm that correct tools and technical methods are applied.
- Support team coordination, provide guidance where needed and escalate issues outside authorised scope.
- Identify opportunities to improve procedures while preserving airworthiness, quality and safety.
Requirements
- A diploma in aircraft maintenance or a related trade/vocational qualification, or an aircraft-engineering degree.
- The role calls for a full Qatar Airways main-fleet ICAO/QCAA licence and approvals.
- Relevant aircraft-maintenance experience and a sound understanding of aviation legislation are expected.
- Candidates should be able to select tools, apply technical instructions and work effectively with a maintenance team.
