Description
Qatar Airways is recruiting a Licensed Aircraft Engineer for In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) Maintenance in Doha. The engineer supports maintenance checks and flight operations by applying specialised technical knowledge to entertainment and related cabin systems within licence authority. The role requires safe, effective and efficient execution of maintenance and improvement of work practices when appropriate.
Engineering decisions must follow approved documentation and licence authority. Clear records, safe task execution and early communication of technical risks help maintain airworthiness, quality and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan assigned IFE maintenance activities and use appropriate tools and equipment under company procedures.
- Diagnose and rectify IFE-related defects within the approved licence and authorisation scope.
- Ensure work is carried out using approved maintenance data and is documented accurately.
- Review existing procedures and raise practical improvements when standards or methods need clarification.
- Coordinate with mechanics, technicians and other engineering functions to complete tasks efficiently.
- Maintain safety and quality standards while meeting the operational demands of aircraft maintenance.
Requirements
- A diploma in aircraft maintenance, related trade/vocational qualification or aircraft-engineering degree.
- A full Qatar Airways main-fleet ICAO/QCAA licence and relevant approvals are required.
- At least 3 years of job-related aircraft certifying experience is listed for comparable internal role criteria.
- Candidates should be able to control equipment, interpret technical documents and make sound decisions.
