Description
Qatar Airways is recruiting a Licensed Aircraft Engineer for Cabin Maintenance in Doha. The role delivers maintenance activities that support flight operations and ensures cabin-related work is completed within licence authority. It combines technical oversight, defect rectification, quality supervision and careful use of approved maintenance data to maintain aircraft safety and cabin standards.
Engineering decisions must follow approved documentation and licence authority. Clear records, safe task execution and early communication of technical risks help maintain airworthiness, quality and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and carry out cabin maintenance tasks within licence privileges and approved company procedures.
- Supervise the work of technicians and mechanics, confirming that correct tools and acceptable workmanship standards are used.
- Investigate cabin defects and coordinate rectification to maintain aircraft serviceability.
- Ensure maintenance records are accurate and all tasks follow applicable technical publications and regulations.
- Provide on-the-job guidance and help maintain team capability and safety awareness.
- Review work methods and raise improvement opportunities where procedures or practices can be strengthened.
Requirements
- A recognised aircraft-maintenance diploma, trade/vocational qualification or aircraft-engineering degree is required.
- The role requires appropriate Qatar Airways main-fleet ICAO/QCAA licence and approvals.
- Relevant aircraft certifying experience is expected; internal criteria list at least 3 years in a job-related certifying role.
- Candidates should understand tools, equipment, technical documentation and aircraft maintenance legislation.
