Department Overview:
The Corporate & Institutional Banking division is responsible for serving the financial needs of large corporates, government-related entities (GREs), mid-market companies, multinational corporations, and high-net-worth individuals. The unit plays a key role in driving the bank’s profitability and strategic growth.
Role Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to acquire new corporate clients and manage an existing portfolio under the guidance of the Team Head. The Relationship Manager is expected to deliver customized financial solutions, while also cross-selling a broad range of banking products such as trade finance, cash management, treasury services, global markets, investment banking, cross-border referrals, and retail banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition: Proactively source and secure new-to-bank and new-to-product relationships to expand the client base and generate new revenue opportunities.
- Revenue Generation: Drive both fund-based and fee-based income by structuring tailored financing solutions aligned with client needs.
- Balance Sheet Growth: Contribute to the bank’s asset and liability growth through effective lending and deposit strategies.
- Cross-Selling: Enhance the bank’s value proposition by promoting a comprehensive suite of banking products and services.
- Risk Management: Structure and document transactions prudently to mitigate credit and operational risks.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Professional certifications in finance, accounting, or banking are an advantage
Experience Requirements:
- Over 10 years of progressive experience in banking
- Minimum 5 years in Corporate Banking within the UAE
- Proven track record in client relationship management and business development
Key Skills & Expertise:
- Strong understanding of wholesale and corporate banking products, particularly trade finance, supply chain, and receivables financing
- Proficient in banking operations, financial analysis, cross-selling, and team collaboration
- Commercial acumen and strategic mindset to drive business results
