Description
The finance role supports accurate transaction processing, reconciliations and financial controls. It helps ensure that receipts, payments, invoices or operating costs are recorded correctly and that discrepancies are investigated promptly. The position requires integrity, attention to detail and the ability to work with financial systems and confidential information. The successful candidate is expected to approach assigned work professionally, follow established procedures and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers. Work should be completed carefully, with issues raised early rather than left unresolved.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare routine summaries, cash reports, ageing schedules or cost analyses for supervisory review.
- Follow approval limits, cash-handling practices and controls designed to reduce errors or irregularities.
- Communicate missing documentation and unresolved differences promptly, documenting action taken and outstanding follow-up.
- Review and record assigned financial transactions, supporting documents and account entries in line with internal procedures.
- Reconcile balances, receipts, invoices or payment records and investigate variances with the relevant departments.
- Maintain organised files and audit trails so transactions can be reviewed and substantiated when required.

- Accounting, finance or business training is beneficial, with role-relevant experience preferred for supervisory assignments.
- Ability to work accurately with figures, transaction records and supporting documentation.
- Comfort using spreadsheets and financial or accounting systems.
- Understanding of reconciliation, confidentiality, approval controls and the importance of timely reporting.
- Integrity, organisation and the confidence to raise discrepancies for clarification.
Skills

Professional Approach
The role contributes to reliable financial information by maintaining traceable records, applying controls consistently and following unresolved issues through to a documented outcome. Small details matter because they influence both operational efficiency and customer confidence. Candidates should be prepared to explain how their experience, training or transferable skills relate to the duties and how they would contribute to a professional, service-focused team.
